Items we like

As funeral directors, we have seen hundreds, maybe thousands, of urns and other items related to cremation, funerals, services, grief and more. Because of that, it takes something unusual or especially meaningful to catch our attention. Here are a few that recently made us take a second look. Some of our favorite items are for sale here and some have a link to a website where you can order them. For the latter, we're legally required to let you know that they may send us a few dollars.

There aren't a lot of stained glass urns. and these are lovely. They come in various colors and in at least a dozen styles with flowers, butterflies, dragonflies and some in geometric Mission style.

walking stick that scatters ashes cremains

This is a very unique idea. You put the ashes in the walking stick and as you walk along your loved one's favorite trail or road, you push on the stick and a small amount of ashes is released.

urn for a baby for ashes, cremated

This doesn't look like an urn.. We like this because you can comfortably set this somewhere in your home and your guests won't know that it contains your baby's ashes.

We found this website when we were looking for urns for babies. It's called Heaven's Gain, and this website does a whole lot more than sell urns. It's a great source of information for those who have lost a baby, including personal consultations.
